"IN ALL THINGS, LOVE AND SERVE"

Dear distinguished members of the dais, fellow delegates, staff, and observers,

It is my honor to preside over the enriching experience you are about to embark on and to welcome you to the inaugural intercollegiate edition of the Colegio San José de Barranquilla Model of United Nations, "In all things, love and serve," CSJBMUN. I am aware of the effort and rigorous preparation our team has dedicated for your benefit, which leads me to be confident that you will thoroughly enjoy the event. 

As Secretary General, I am deeply grateful and privileged to lead an event that embodies abilities of profound impact such as leadership, discipline, communication, and research. All of them presume an impact that marks the inception of a legacy within the institution and the wider Barranquilla society, hoping you embrace the privilege to be part of this experience and to fully immerse yourselves in its essence.

Our objective is to develop spaces that enable everyone to freely express their ideas; hence, over the course of our two-day model, you will have the opportunity to engage in debates on topics of great relevance to the international community and to formulate resolutions addressing the complexities they entail. I hope that beyond reaching agreements through your research, knowledge, and experience, you do so guide by the principles of empathy, respect, and the recognition of truth. 

With this, I bid you farewell, hoping that you establish lasting friendships and enjoy your experience, always remembering that your greatest virtue lies in having your heart in service to all that surrounds you.
